The Palm Beach High School Educational Foundation is seeking a founding Head of School to lead the opening of a new top-tier, independent high school that will be unrivaled in its superior pedagogy, participant-driven curricula, congenial learning environment, and preeminent graduate placement. Extensive planning has already been undertaken for this exciting initiative, including market research and the identification of a facility for the new high school. The school is tentatively scheduled to open with 75 students in 2011, growing to 240 students in grades 9-12 by 2015.

Search Status: This is an expedited search. With the school scheduled to open in September 2011, the Founding Head will ideally begin work in early fall of 2010. Prospective candidates should submit applications ASAP.

Princeton Charter School

Guided by the belief that students' early years are "a precious resource not to be squandered," Princeton Charter School offers a rigorous K-8 curriculum focused on mastery of core knowledge and skills within an environment that affirms academic achievement as the best path to developing genuine self-esteem. Launched in 1997 with 72 students in grades 4-6, it has grown to serve more than 340 students in grades K-8. Admission is by lottery, and long waiting lists are common. PCS was designated a 2007 National Charter School of the Year in 2007 by the Center for Education Reform, and has been named a Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education and a Charter School of Distinction by the New Jersey Department of Education. In 2002, it became the first charter school in the nation to receive accreditation from the American Academy for Liberal Education. An independent public school governed by a Board of Trustees, PCS has enjoyed generous support from the local community. This spring, Princeton Charter School opened its $5.8 million campus center, completing an ambitious master plan.

Loyola School

Founded in 1900 by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), Loyola is situated in New York City at the corner of Park Avenue and East 83rd Street, steps away from the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Central Park. Park Tudor School

The school was established in 1970 by a merger of Tudor Hall School for girls (1902) and Park School for boys (1914). Located in northeast Indianapolis, the 55-acre campus features four academic buildings containing three libraries, nine computer labs, the Ruth Lilly Science Center, and the 425-seat Ayres Auditorium; Clowes Commons dining facility; three gymnasiums with a fitness deck and suspended running track; and Foster Hall, a small conference and special events center. With approximately 550 students in the Upper School, Kinkaid offers a rigorous academic program and a full slate of athletic and other extracurricular opportunities. For three weeks in January, Interim Term provides Upper School students a selection of elective courses, foreign study opportunities, community service, cultural programs, and, for seniors, a variety of professional career internships.
