The Palm Beach High School Educational Foundation is seeking a
founding Head of School to lead the opening of a new top-tier,
independent high school that will be unrivaled in its superior pedagogy,
participant-driven curricula, congenial learning environment, and
preeminent graduate placement. Extensive planning has already been
undertaken for this exciting initiative, including market research and
the identification of a facility for the new high school. The school is
tentatively scheduled to open with 75 students in 2011, growing to 240
students in grades 9-12 by 2015.
Search Status:
This is an expedited search. With the
school scheduled to open in September 2011, the Founding
Head will ideally begin work in early fall of 2010.

The Summit Country Day School is an independent,Catholic,
coeducational, college-preparatory school of more than 1,000 students in
preschool to grade 12. Founded in 1890 by the Sisters of Notre Dame de
Namur, The Summit has both a 24-acre campus in Hyde Park and a 16-acre
athletic complex nearby. The mission of The Summit Country Day School is

Founded in 1940, St. Aloysius School is an innovative,
pre-kindergarten through eighth grade independent Catholic school in the
Jesuit tradition, located in Central Harlem. Dedicated to educating
inner city children at risk of never reaching their potential, the
school offers a comprehensive, academically challenging,
literature-based program that includes support of the family and the
whole child. The school's four-program educational structure – which
includes a pre-school, elementary school, and two single-gender middle
schools – serves 310 students on two campuses. All of St. Aloysius's
programs, which include extended day, summer school and summer camp, are
designed to address children's developmental, social, spiritual, and
educational needs.

Founded in 2000 with 102 students, Trinity Episcopal School now
enrolls 419 students in grades K-8. Trinity's curriculum encourages
students to think creatively and critically; its honor code holds them
to the highest standards of personal conduct; and its unique programs
and service learning partnerships "provide lessons that light the way to
a noble, productive and Godly life."; Trinity's modern facilities are
situated on a 4.1-acre urban campus. In an innovative partnership with
city agencies, Trinity Episcopal School is actively engaged in the
development of Alexander Street Park, a four-acre play space that will
provide tennis courts, basketball courts, a soccer field, a picnic
pavilion, a playground, and walking trails for use by Trinity and the 31
surrounding neighborhoods.

Guided by the belief that students' early years are "a precious
resource not to be squandered," Princeton Charter School offers a
rigorous K-8 curriculum focused on mastery of core knowledge and skills
within an environment that affirms academic achievement as the best path
to developing genuine self-esteem. Launched in 1997 with 72 students in grades 4-6, it has grown to serve more
than 340 students in grades K-8. Admission is by lottery, and long
waiting lists are common. PCS was designated a 2007 National Charter
School of the Year in 2007 by the Center for Education Reform, and has
been named a Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education and
a Charter School of Distinction by the New Jersey Department of
Education. In 2002, it became the first charter school in the nation to
receive accreditation from the American Academy for Liberal Education.
An independent public school governed by a Board of Trustees, PCS has
enjoyed generous support from the local community. This spring, Princeton Charter School opened its
$5.8 million campus center, completing an ambitious master plan.

Burbank, CA
Providence High School is a Catholic, accredited, nationally
recognized college preparatory school for 450 young men and women.
Founded by the Sisters of Providence in 1955, the school is located in
the San Fernando Valley, serving the greater Los Angeles area. The
school's goal is to develop each student to his or her fullest potential
as a leader and a responsible citizen of the world, imbued with a strong
set of moral values, a sense of service, and a love of learning. Women
religious and lay men and women comprise the 30-member full-time
faculty. The average class size is 24 students.

Loyola School enrolls just over 200 students in grades 9-12. Founded in 1900 by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), Loyola is situated in New York City at the corner of Park Avenue and East 83rd Street, steps away from the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Central Park.
Loyola offers a rigorous college preparatory curriculum that results in placements at the most competitive higher

Park Tudor School is an independent, coeducational, college
preparatory day school for more than 980 students in
prekindergarten through grade 12. The school was established in 1970 by
a merger of Tudor Hall School for girls (1902) and Park School for boys
(1914). Located in northeast Indianapolis, the 55-acre campus features
four academic buildings containing three libraries, nine computer labs,
the Ruth Lilly Science Center, and the 425-seat Ayres Auditorium; Clowes

The oldest independent coeducational school in Houston, The Kinkaid
School was founded in 1906. It is a nonsectarian college preparatory day
school, enrolling a total of 1,362 boys and girls in grades PK-12. With
approximately 550 students in the Upper School, Kinkaid offers a
rigorous academic program and a full slate of athletic and other
extracurricular opportunities. For three weeks in January, Interim Term
provides Upper School students a selection of elective courses, foreign

Berkeley Preparatory School was established in 1960 in affiliation
with the Episcopal Church by Tampa Bay area families seeking an
alternative to sending their children to boarding schools. Today,
Berkeley Prep offers 1,200 students in grades PK-12 a balanced
curriculum of academics and arts, clubs and activities, competitive
sports and community service. A diverse student population brings many
cultures together, fostering the sharing of traditions in a safe forum.
The International Studies program provides students with a unique
opportunity to experience other cultures and lifestyles around the
world. Berkeley’s 77-acre campus in suburban Tampa includes two
libraries, 62 classrooms, a science wing, a 634-seat performing arts
